On one fateful day as fate would have it Steven saw a film of Led Zeppelin playing at Madison Square Garden New York in 1973. He was transfixed with the sound of the drummers drums. Since that moment Steven began banging on a variety of objects to make different sounds and eventually he received his first drum pad! Which he played of for almost a year until one Christmas morning when he received the best gifted to date; his first drum set. Steven practiced night and day and was mostly self-taught. He began playing a clubs weddings and bars with a variety of groups. After this he thought it was time to get professional instruction and enrolled into Berklee College of Music. While at his time at Berklee Steven was taught by some of the most talented players and teachers in the world. Among these: Mike Mangini Rod Morgenstein Dave Dicenso Terry Lyne Carrington Larry Fin Kim Plainfield and Kenwood Denard. Steven was involved with several studio recordings and performed at various venues within Boston. Steven also taught at The Lawrence Music Clubhouse Given both group lessons and private instruction. Steven has 5 years of teaching experience. Steven has relocated to Lathrop CA where he is earning his Masters Degree in teaching. Ask for material of Steven performing and recording.
