Bio

I am a professional jazz and rock bassist with 12 years playing experience. I have performed recorded and toured with several original and cover rock/pop bands and currently perform steadily with several jazz combos and big bands. As a music teacher I strive to motivate students to excel on their instrument. I have the patience to stand with them
as they progress and guide them to not only higher levels of playing but also higher levels of understanding and
appreciation of music in general. I customize each lesson to each student based on age technical ability genre and preferences. I want each student to feel like the lesson is as fun as it is educational and stimulating. I enjoy teaching and treat each lesson as an opportunity to talk to another person about music being a musician music history and perhaps help increase music appreciation. There is much more to music education than scales and chords.
