ONLINE MUSIC LESSONS.
I have performed as a musician, actor, singer, storyteller and tap dancer on Broadway, The Kennedy Center and at theaters concert halls and schools from New Jersey to Alaska. I won the BEST CONCERT AWARD at the United Solo Theatre Festival in NYC and was voted as the top banjo player in the country on The Bash.
I studied banjo, mandolin, ukulele and guitar with the great vaudeville musician Roy Smeck. He is featured in Al Jolson's first talking picture The Jazz Singer. I have played for many years with my own Dixieland, Swing, Country, Bluegrass and Irish bands. My Irish band played at the Hunter Mountain Irish Festival & the New Jersey Kilt Festival.
I was featured as a banjo player/singer on the premier episode of the PBS television series Shining Time Station. I received critical acclaim for my performance as a singing banjo and ukulele player in Lady Be Good at the Kennedy Center. On Broadway I played mandolin and bagpipes in Canterbury Tales. I have also worked as an actor-musician, composer and musical director in many regional theatre productions.
