Nora Chiang began piano studies at the age of four. She was offered a scholarship to study at the pre-college division of the Juilliard School of Music where she studied for five years. She received her from the Eastman School of Music did graduate work at New England Conservatory and received her from the University of Southern California. At all of these schools she was a scholarship student. Her principal teachers were Leonard Shure Norman Krieger and Leonard Eisner. She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda (a national music honor's society) MTAC and MTNA. She is also the Director of External Relations and a coach for JCM (Junior Chamber Music) in Los Angeles whose coaches include members of the LA Philharmonic and teachers from the Colburn school and the University of Southern Other piano instructors with whom she has had coachings include Gyorgy Sebok Jerome Lowenthal and Patricia Zander. She has extensive chamber music experience and has had lessons with prestigious musicians such as the Cleveland Quartet Bernard Greenhouse Larry Lesser Michael Tree and Walter Trembley. She has also been coached by many singers including Jan DeGaetani Marcia Baldwin Tom Paul and John Maloy. She has performed throughout the United States and has also appeared in performance in China and Canada. Nora Chiang has been teaching since 1986 currently runs a full private piano studio in West Los Angeles and has produced two piano solo CD's.
