Bio

Mr. Kevin Johnson has been the Director of Music Ministries at Perry Highway Lutheran Church since 2000. At Perry Highway Mr. Johnson is the Organist for Traditional Worship and Pianist for Contemporary Worship. He also directs the Festival Choir Chancel Choir Alleluia Singers and Joyful Noise Choir. In addition to his duties at the church Mr. Johnson is an active private teacher and is looking forward to free-lance playing and conducting Prior to his commitment to church music private teaching and conducting Mr. Johnson was the Director of Bands and Choral Activities at North Catholic High School. While at North Catholic his ensembles and students earned numerous honors and awards. These include nine Tournament of Bands Chapter Champion Titles four Gene Kelly Awards for Best Pit Orchestra numerous Gene Kelly Nominations in various categories and positions in various honors ensembles at the District Region and State level.

/ Mr. Johnson is a member of The American Guild of Organists Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Music Educators National Conference and American Choral Directors Association.
