Katherine Korsak (Kay) began her career in opera and has broadened her spectrum of musical interests from classical to jazz to pop. She recently rekindled a childhood passion - playing the a perfect way to combine her love of singing jazz and all things Hawaii. Kay teaches a classical technique that is the basis for all vocal styles applying breath control vocal projection and exercises that will work for musical theatre pop/rock jazz and ensemble/choral singing. Her focus is working on good intonation and ear training and building confidence and musicality in a professional positive and enjoyable environment. Kay had the honor of singing backup for the illustrious Florence Henderson in her one-woman show 'All the Lives of Me' in Indianapolis San Francisco and New York. Kay regularly performs in Indianapolis Symphony's Yuletide Celebration. Additionally she has sung with Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Orlando Philharmonic Woodlands Symphony the Amherst Early Music Festival Westchester Oratorio Society Orlando Opera Des Moines Metro Opera Opera Vivente Caramoor International Music Festival and Bridges Vocal Ensemble in NYC. Kay has made cabaret appearances at Don't Tell Mama and Uncle Charlie's Piano Bar and Lounge. This January she joins the American Symphony Orchestra's Collegiate Chorale marking her first performance at Carnegie Hall.
