I'm a voice coach and counselor, author and singer based in New York City. Over the years I've been fortunate to enjoy an exciting and varied career in the music business.
As a singer I've had the privilege of working with Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, Def Leppard, Christina Aguilera, Wyclef Jean, Lee Ann Womack, Smokey Robinson, Jessica Simpson, Delta Goodrem, Babyface, Kid Rock, and Usher on tour in the studio and on television.
I've also had the awesome experience of being a lead singer in Cirque du Soleil's DELIRIUM, performing for over 1 million people in 16 countries, as well as singing backup vocals for American Idol, The Grammys, David Letterman, Jay Leno, and the World Music Awards.
While I love to sing my true passion is helping others discover and develop their best voices. For over fifteen years I've been working with singers and actors- including Grammy, Emmy, and CMA award-winners- to release mental and vocal tensions establish confidence and vocal strength and embrace personal and musical optimism and wonder. I also work with non-musicians to help them discover and share their best selves with their loved ones and communities. You can learn more about my practice approach and clients- as well as how we might work and learn together- by visiting the my website.
My ideas and experiences have also been captured in my first book 'The Art of Singing: Discovering and Developing Your True Voice.' My second book 'Learning to Sing: A Transformative Approach to Vocal Performance and Instruction' is out now.
I give workshops around the world on creative expression, and write regularly for The Huffington Post and Psychology Today.
