Hello and thanks for your interest in my studio. My name is Dustin Jones and I've been teaching guitar professionally since 2001. My background is in classical guitar. I love working with students of ALL ages. I can also teach how to read music for guitar. My teaching experience begin as early as 1995 when I was a senior in High School. I helped some friends better their guitar playing and started figuring out my methodology. I attended college the year after and grew in my knowledge of music theory. About 5 years later I landed an opportunity to teach guitar through a local music store and I've continued teaching ever since. Students of the guitar are always inspiring to me because their enthusiasm is so catchy! I always try and keep students excited about lessons by helping the learn things that inspire them. Although every student must face the difficult and tedious aspects of learning the instrument I always try and pace them in such a way to where they can be encouraged my small little jumps in their progress from week to week. I like to give assignments that are realistic for them so that they are not overwhelmed by their practice times. I believe that success with the guitar comes from patience commitment and small daily goals.

All my lessons are held at Casas Adobes Congregational Church at (6801 N. Oracle RD. Tucson AZ. 85704). Lessons are by appointment only. All students are encouraged to set up regular lesson times on either a weekly or twice a month basis.

Rates for lessons are $25 per lesson (lessons are 40 minutes). I offer flexible payment schedules and methods. 24 hours notice is required for non-emergency absences.
